Caroline Autenrieth Penney (1896-1992), third wife of James Cash Penney, was an active philanthropist in the arts, especially opera and fashion. The collection documents Mrs. Penney’s entire life, but focuses on the years that she was a widow. Materials include correspondence, biographical materials, clippings, photographs, greeting cards, and personal materials.
